Questions about visits and treatment

Booking and your first visit

Can I visit without an appointment?
We may be able to see you, but an appointment is recommended because a first visit needs time for consultation and assessment. Book through Naver or by phone.

How long does the first visit take?
It varies by symptoms and treatment, but the first visit may take longer because it includes history, assessment and treatment planning.

What concerns do people commonly bring?
Jaw discomfort, headache, dizziness, neck or back pain, chronic fatigue, digestive problems, constitution concerns, weight and metabolic issues, and traffic-accident aftereffects.

Care plans and treatment

Will I feel better after one visit?
Acute pain can respond quickly, while long-standing or recurring problems may need step-by-step care. We adjust the plan based on your response.

How is the number of visits decided?
It depends on symptom duration and severity, constitution, daily environment and recovery capacity. We review the response rather than fixing an arbitrary number from the start.

Do I need every treatment together?
No. Acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, Chuna, herbal medicine, constitution care and TMJ Balance Therapy are selected and combined only when appropriate.

TMJ Balance Therapy

Is TMJ care only for jaw pain?
Even without jaw pain, we may assess jaw balance when headache, neck tension, dizziness, tinnitus, facial asymmetry or nervous-system tension is present.

Do I need to wear the appliance all the time?
Wear time and adjustment depend on your condition and goal. We explain the schedule after assessment.

Is TMJ Balance Therapy covered by traffic-accident insurance?
It is separate from standard care covered under automobile insurance. For traffic-accident visits, we explain treatment according to the applicable insurance rules.

Chuna, pharmacopuncture and acupuncture

When is Chuna used?
It may be considered for restricted movement or pain involving the neck, back, pelvis, shoulders or spine, depending on the assessment.

What is pharmacopuncture?
A purified herbal preparation is injected at selected areas to address pain, tension, reduced circulation or inflammatory responses.

Can I receive acupuncture if I am sensitive to needles?
Yes. Stimulation can be adjusted. Tell us about your sensitivity at the first visit so we can reflect it in the treatment.

Herbal medicine and constitution care

Do I have to take herbal medicine?
No. It is not necessary for every patient. We recommend it only when constitution, digestion, fatigue, sleep, inflammation or metabolism indicate it may help.

How is constitution-based tonic care different?
It considers constitution, digestion, heat or cold tendency, sleep and recovery capacity when setting the prescription direction.

Are products such as Gongjin-dan or Kyungok-go decided after consultation?
Yes. Even a well-known tonic should fit your current condition and constitution.

Weight and metabolic care

Is diet herbal medicine simply an appetite suppressant?
We look beyond appetite and assess constitution, swelling, digestion, fatigue, sleep and slowed metabolism when planning care.

Can I receive care while using Wegovy or Mounjaro?
Yes. We separately assess constitution, appetite, digestion, swelling, fatigue and rebound risk. Do not change a prescribed injection on your own.

Traffic-accident automobile insurance

Can I receive Korean medicine care after a traffic accident?
Automobile-insurance care is available once a personal-injury claim has been opened. Share the insurer, claim number and contact person so we can confirm the details.

What matters in traffic-accident care?
We aim not only to reduce early pain but also to reduce persistent aftereffects. Assessment may include deeper muscles, spinal movement and nervous-system tension as well as superficial muscles.
